Iz Horgan & Samuel Horgan

Samuel (samuelhorgan.com) and Iz Horgan (izhorgan.com) are publishing an interdisciplinary project drawing on their upbringing in the Allegheny Valley. Examining Western Pennsylvania’s hunting traditions. Drawing on archival documentation, personal experiences, and family history, the siblings use painting, sculpture, and text to approach hunting season as a microcosm of regional culture. Together, the produce artwork and collate material to manifest a sort of folklore, examining the youth and adolescence juxtaposed with the yearly harvest of wild game.
