PABF 2023 ARCHIVE

Jess Fijalkovich / Ghost Library

Ghost Library is an evolving collection of photo books, objects, and archival materials that attempts to connect the dots in the shifting constellations of identity, collective memory, and material culture. These visual stories created to hold space for queer artist communities offer nuance through their poetic connections, made possible through the changing configuration and juxtaposition of the materials. This project is by Jess Fijalkovich, an artist, archivist, and curator from Akron, OH. She is a co-organizer of bARTer, an artwork trading network for artists that encourages building non-hierarchical art collections and communities. Her work merges and expands upon these practices.
