New York

Mish Mash is a small risograph press and artist studio run by Michelle Hernandez Vega out of her apartment in Brooklyn; dedicated to experimentation, craft, and failure. As a First Generation Latinx American, her work is rooted in world-building, memory, storytelling, and an engagement with Archival materials. Mish Mash reflects both her experiences, art practice and collaborations with artists who she admires and who relate mixed and diasporic identities. It is also a personal philosophy—resisting the pressure to overly focus or define, embracing randomness and sudden interests in playful ways.
