The Commentary is a community-written magazine encouraging the appreciation of local galleries and artists. Our diverse group of writers are artists, therapists, firemen, theater producers, and mothers. Their unique perspectives inform their writing on different topics such as interviews with artists, gallery visits, and cultural events. Each perspective on a local artist or gallery enlivens the creative community and promotes the institutions that need it most. By providing free magazine issues in places all over the city, we hope the public of Pittsburgh feels comfortable and encouraged to go to more art galleries, increasing exposure to local artists.
